We are pleased to inform you that the Washington County School District is implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

What does this mean for you and your child(ren)?

All students enrolled in Washington County Schools, regardless of income level, are eligible to receive a healthy school breakfast and school lunch at no cost each day. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

The CEP is a new alternative to the traditional meal application process associated with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. CEP alleviates the burden on families by eliminating household applications, while helping schools reduce costs associated with collecting and processing those applications.

      P-EBT Update: 4/7/2021

To reset your pin:
Constituents will be able to reset their PIN by calling the customer service line on the back of the card. 
If you have not received benefits:
If constituents have not received their benefits they will need to contact our P-EBT call center at 866-513-1414 or by submitting an inquiry on our pebtva.com page to look into the missing benefits.
Benefits will be automatically loaded to the existing P-EBT or EBT card.  If it is the first time receiving benefits, a pre-loaded P-EBT card will be mailed to the current address in the student's school record or funds will be added to their SNAP or EBT card.

P-EBT Call Center
VDSS has staffed a call center exclusively for P-EBT that will be open on Monday, 3/15 after 12 noon. Please direct all household questions and concerns about P-EBT to the call center Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 866-513-1414 or 804-294-1633. Households may also use the online P-EBT inquiry form. 

P-EBT Replacement Card Instructions

Call 1-866-281-2448, logon to https://www.connectebt.com/, or download the ConnectEBT app on a mobile device.  

P-EBT card accounts did not use the parent/guardian's Social Security Number (SSN) or the parent/guardian's date of birth (DOB). When P-EBT households use the automated system, (phone, website, or mobile app) to request a replacement card or access account information, they should use the following information at each step.

  • "Enter P-EBT card number" - for replacement card, bypass by pressing "2" to use personal information.
  • "Enter primary cardholder's SSN" - all PEBT cardholders must enter 000000000, not their own SSN.
  • "Enter primary cardholders DOB" - all P-EBT cardholders should enter the oldest student's DOB, if there was more than one student's benefits on the card. It is the same student DOB that was used to PIN the card.
  • "Enter PIN" - PEBT cardholders should enter the PIN of the card they are seeking to replace.


School Meals at No Charge for All Children

Effective immediately, Washington County Virginia Schools will be serving meals at no charge to children 18 and under. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved waivers for local school divisions and other federal meal program sponsors to implement the Summer Food Service Program to provide meals to children in the community free of charge through June 30, 2021. The waivers support access to nutritious meals while minimizing exposure to COVID-19.

Meals are available to all children including those learning in-person or virtually and regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to Students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.



 In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: How to File a Complaint, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
